July 2026 Pilot:
Orientation
Welcome to the Matter and Space July 2026 pilot. This orientation guide is your reference for what to expect and how to get started. Read on for an overview of what to expect during this pilot, what's expected of you as a learner, how to complete setup, and other essentials like submitting bugs and feedback.
Pilot Details
The July 2026 Matter and Space pilot runs six weeks from Tuesday, July 28 through Tuesday, September 8. Our goals are to validate that the end-to-end experience works without significant friction, and to collect early feedback on the adaptive features, personalized content, and wellbeing tools so we can refine them before our larger pilot later this year.
This pilot's learning curriculum is the Generative AI program. Your wellbeing curriculum will start in Foundations for Flourishing, followed by a choice of elective: Communication, Exercise, or Meditation. For more details and a recommended schedule for completion, check out the What to Expect resource.
As you go through the curriculum, let L.E. know what you want out of your sessions. L.E. will adjust things like format, feedback, and approach, wherever it's able to. Give it a try and see what happens. You can always adjust again if it's not quite right.
Learner Expectations
The program is self-paced. Work through it on whatever schedule fits you best, although it's designed to be completed within these six weeks. To stay on track, we recommend pacing yourself with about 4 to 6 hours a week. It's okay if you're not able to start right away or are a bit behind. Try to complete as much of the program as possible in these 6 weeks for the best experience.
Your feedback is one of the most important outcomes of this pilot. Survey responses, interviews, and participant experiences will help the Matter and Space team improve the platform experience, refine learning and wellbeing features, enhance future pilots, and inform future expansion efforts. Thank you in advance for your participation and engagement.
Submitting Bugs & Feedback
There are a variety of ways to submit bugs and feedback to the MAS team - both in-app and off-app. Please see the Submit Bugs & Feedback page for more details.
Communications & Surveys
Our main method of communication with you will be emails sent to your SNHU email address.
At the start of each week, we'll send the same three-part update: this week's asks, any updates or fixes to the app, and support and reminders. All of these emails, along with survey links and user interview opportunities, will also be posted to the Communications & Surveys section below as they are distributed, so there's always one place to find them.
You will receive surveys and invites to user interview opportunities on a weekly basis. Surveys and user interview opportunities will be distributed in the start of week emails, or in a follow-up email later that week.
-
Surveys are sent on a weekly basis. We ask that you complete any surveys within 5 days of receipt to be included in our first round of analysis. Surveys will not close - you can always come back to submit a previous survey by visiting the Communications & Surveys section below.
- There will be a minimum of three user interview opportunities throughout the pilot, each with a different focus. Details on how to schedule an interview, and what the focus will be, will be included in emails.
